Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Candlelight Vigil

Someday, in October 2012
(location and time to be determined at a later date).
Watch for posting

The Candlelight Vigil is held every October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month and is hosted by Pearl Crisis Center and Teens Against Dating Abuse (TADA). At the Vigil we honor those who have lost their lives to violence in the last year. We have a Pastor present to say a blessing and a government official to read the proclamation. The names of those who lost their lives are read aloud and music is played in their honor. We then have a time when thoughts and stories are welcomed by community members and everyone else present.

This is a great activity to attend;
It is a night of emotional strength, and of increased knowledge about the effects of Domestic Violence in our communities.
