March 30, 2016 We will leave Hardees in Milaca promptly at 8:00 A.M., and stop to pick up Princeton members at McDonalds at 8:15 to be at the Capitol by approximately 9:30. Action Day is a collective effort bystatewide coalitions to raise awareness about the prevalence and devastating impact of violence against women in Minnesota. Additionally, it is anopportunity to educate our policy makers onpassing legislation that protects and supports victims.
Each year, Pearl Crisis Center takes TADA members to Action Day, and this IS a school approved absence.
We meet with our Senator and State Representative to discuss our group and concerns we may have. We were excited to meet with Governor Dayton during the 2011 trip!
The Rally and Memorial is held at the Capitol in the Rotunda; During this time we hear from different organizations and survivors of violence.
