Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Advocacy Internship
Pearl Crisis Center also runs a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Advocacy Internship for students. Participants may receive our 40-Hour Volunteer Advocacy training during their time at Pearl.
Duties include:
· Court, Phone, and Systems Advocacy
· Maintaining files and forms
· Client Consultation
· Scheduling and personnel policies
· Other various responsibilities
Internships are available for college students and recent graduates ages 18 and up. Your internship will vary depending on whether it is a course-based or an independent internship.
As such, the benefits and experience will be different for each participating individual, and the community benefits greatly with each and every intern that participates at Pearl.
Pearl Crisis Center promises to immerse students in a real-life resource and advocacy center to help them gain an in-depth understanding of the many varieties of issues that extend beyond just the work with clients into a wide horizon of opportunities.
